Homecoming 2006

At least 34 Phi Kappa Sigma alumni (plus many of their guests) returned to Orono, Maine over Homecoming weekend on October 20-22, 2006.  These alumni spanned 62 years of graduation from 1944 through 2006 (see below for a listing of attendees).  Skullumni and the undergraduate chapter are very pleased with the turnout and we offer our thanks to those alumni who attended - we are fortunate to have so many caring alumni.  In addition to the annual meeting, tailgating and group seats at the football game, and socializing at the Bear Brew Pub, many alumni also enjoyed the second annual alumni luncheon banquet before the game.  At this banquet, Skullumni presented Brother John Hodgkins '56 with the Alumnus of the Year award for authoring the book, A Soldier's Son: An American Boyhood During World War II.  Skullumni also paid tribute to the late Br. Wayne Johnson '65, who passed away this summer after battling cancer.  Many alumni stood up and spoke on behalf of Br. Johnson.  The weekend was a success all around as alumni socialized with one an other and had a chance to meet the current undergraduate leadership.
