Homecoming 2003

Skullumni & the Undergraduate Chapter joined forces over the weekend of October 4-5, 2003 in hosting a fun and memorable Homecoming 2003.  A total of 40 -- or more -- alumni (listed below) spanning nearly 60 years of graduation showed up to enjoy the festivities and to celebrate 105 years of Phi Kappa Sigma at the University of Maine.  These alumni, from the class of 1944 through 2003,  toured the chapter house, participated in Skullumni's Annual Meeting, sat together at the Maine v. Richmond football game (which Maine won), and socialized for several hours in a reserved room at the Bear Brew Pub.  In all, the weekend was a huge success as Alpha Delta enjoyed the largest Homecoming turnout in years!  Many alumni were impressed with the current undergraduate chapter and were very supportive of the efforts of Skullumni.  Several commented that they would not have returned had it not been for Skullumni.

Thank you to all of you who attended this year's Homecoming and to those of you who weren't able to: you missed out on a great time!  Many alumni saw the house for the first time in decades and met up with classmates who they hadn't seen in an equally long amount of time.  Alumni from all eras got a chance to meet other alumni of all different ages and from these interactions, friendships and comradery were borne.  So thanks again to the attendees for such a great turnout and a fun time.  We hope next year to see even more alumni and to build upon this great turnout.

Photo 2: Alumni & Undergraduates at the football game.  Nearly 60 alumni including their family/friends and several undergraduates attended the Homecoming football game.  Although many left at first sight of the storm clouds for safe refuge at Margarita's, several alumni toughed it out for most, if not the entire game.  The Bears didn't disappoint as they provided a solid 20-10 win in front of the Homecoming crowd.

Thank you to those who attended and we hope to see the rest of you in 2004!
